About the leaderboard
The leaderboard ranks learners by the points they have earned answering questions, alongside their accuracy and streak length. It is there to give practice a bit of shape, not to be the point of it: someone answering a few questions carefully every day will pass someone doing one long session a week, which is exactly the habit worth building.
How ranking works
Position is decided by total points, which come from correct answers across every quiz mode and flashcard deck. Because points accumulate rather than reset, the board rewards sustained practice over a single strong day. Accuracy and streak are shown next to each entry so a high score built from careful work is distinguishable from one built on volume.
Reading it usefully
Comparing your accuracy against people at a similar point total tells you more than comparing raw scores does. If your points are climbing while accuracy holds steady, the difficulty you are practising at is about right. If accuracy is falling as points climb, you are moving faster than the material is settling, and slowing down will get you further.
Why there is a board at all
Competition is a blunt instrument for learning and it suits some people far better than others. If watching a number move keeps you opening the app on a day you would otherwise skip, the board is doing its job. If it tempts you to rush questions to bank points, ignore it entirely and use the daily challenge instead, which rewards turning up rather than volume.
Where the entries come from
The board is assembled from learners who have opted into sharing a score, so it reflects the people using the platform now rather than everyone who ever has. Because progress is stored per browser, one person practising on two devices appears as two separate learners, and a cleared browser starts a new entry from zero.
