About your learning profile

Your profile gathers everything DigiCalc Learning has recorded about your practice so far: the level you have reached, the points behind it, how many questions you have answered, how often you were right, and how many days in a row you have practised. It fills in as soon as you answer your first question, so a new profile looks empty until you take a quiz or work through a flashcard deck.

Where the numbers come from

Every quiz answer and flashcard review is scored the moment you submit it, and the result is added to your running totals. Accuracy is simply correct answers divided by questions answered, counted across every mode, so a run of easy questions moves it as much as a hard one. Nothing is averaged over time or reset at the end of a week, which means the figure you see is your record to date rather than a recent snapshot.

Levels, points and streaks

Points come from answering questions correctly, and each level needs more of them than the one before, so early levels arrive quickly and later ones take real practice. Your streak counts consecutive days on which you answered at least one question; miss a day and it starts again from one. Streaks exist because spacing practice across several short sessions is far more effective for recall than one long session.

Your data stays on your device

Progress is saved in your browser, not to an account on our servers. That means there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to delete later, but it also means your profile does not follow you to another browser or another device, and clearing your browsing data clears it. If you use DigiCalc Learning on both a phone and a laptop, each keeps its own separate record.
